Commercial Passenger Vehicles Victoria

From 2020 - 2021 Upstride was engaged to develop a comprehensive Communications and Engagement Strategy (C&E Strategy) for the Victorian Government's safety regulator, Commercial Passenger Vehicles Victoria.

The strategy aimed to position the organisation to effectively achieve its five strategic objectives: safety, accessibility, customer focus, competitiveness, and effective regulation.

WHAT WE DID

Upstride Agency developed a practical and targeted Communications & Engagement Strategy, anchored by a work program consisting of five key pillars. Each pillar focused on a different aspect of communication and engagement, ensuring that CPVV’s strategic objectives were addressed comprehensively.

Pillar 1: Safety Communication We crafted messaging that clearly articulated CPVV’s commitment to safety as a primary focus. This included campaigns and materials designed to reinforce CPVV’s role in ensuring the safety of commercial passenger vehicles in Victoria.

Pillar 2: Accessibility Promotion The strategy included targeted efforts to promote the accessibility of commercial passenger vehicles, ensuring that all Victorians, including those with disabilities, have access to safe and reliable transportation options.

Pillar 3: Customer Focus Upstride developed communication initiatives aimed at improving the customer experience. This included gathering feedback from passengers and industry stakeholders to continuously refine CPVV’s approach to regulation and service delivery.

Pillar 4: Competitivene Messaging The strategy emphasised the importance of a competitive industry, with messaging that highlighted the opportunities for innovation and improved service offerings within the commercial passenger vehicle sector.

Pillar 5: Effective Regulation We created materials and campaigns that underscored CPVV’s effectiveness as a regulator, demonstrating how its actions support a thriving, safe, and competitive industry.

RESULTS

The 2020/21 Communications & Engagement Strategy developed by Upstride Agency for Commercial Passenger Vehicles Victoria was instrumental in helping the organisation achieve its strategic objectives. By creating a focused and practical strategy with clearly defined pillars, Upstride enabled CPVV to reposition itself successfully, build trust with stakeholders, and support industry innovation.
